CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) -

The Camp Hill community rallied together to support a high school student battling cancer.

The "Give Your Support for Gus" event was held Sunday afternoon at Camp Hill High School. Students and faculty raised money in honor of Gus Bostdorf, a wrestler currently undergoing cancer treatments.

For a $10 donation, boys could have their heads shaved to help Gus blend in the crowd. The first 30 girls to donate received green hair extensions, which is Gus's favorite color.

abc27 spoke with Gus, who said the event was an emotional experience. "I want to thank the whole Camp Hill community, all my family and loved ones, 'cause that's really been what helped me a lot to get through this all."

Camp Hill High has set up donation jars at the school, and the teacher who collects the most money will also shave his or her head in honor of Gus.

The money raised will be donated to The Four Diamonds Fund at Hershey Medical Center.
