ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

A man demanded money from the Holiday Inn Express in Elizabethtown but left empty handed Monday morning when the clerk told him there was no cash at the hotel.

Northwest Regional police said the would-be robber held a handwritten note in front of the front desk clerk that demanded the money from register.

He left the hotel at 147 Merts Drive in a gray blue Chevrolet Cobalt at around 8:20 a.m., police said.

There were no injuries and there were no weapons displayed.

The would-be robber was said to be of unknown race, 5'5" to 5'8" tall, and between 150-180 pounds, police said.

Anyone with any information may call the Northwest Regional Police Department at (717) 367-8481.
