Customer cheesed by no American at sub shop

Posted: Updated:
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are looking for a man they say harassed sandwich shop employees, calling them "racists" for not carrying American cheese.

On Feb. 21 at around 2 a.m., a man entered the Jimmy's John's sandwich shop in the 200 block of North 2nd Street with a group of friends, a woman and two other men. He ordered a sub and was upset that they did not offer American cheese.

The man began yelling and calling the employees "racist" because they didn't have American cheese.

He tried to order a second sub and asked for salt and pepper, but the manager informed him that they didn't have salt and pepper either. The man began to yell again, and the manager told him that his sub was not going to be made if he continued to make a scene.

The man then tried to go behind the counter where the employees were working but was stopped, so he spit in the face of the manager.

The incident was caught on surveillance video.

Police are still investigating this incident. Anyone with information may contact police at 717-255-3158.
