Officials investigating death of prison inmate

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

An investigation is underway into the death of a 31-year-old woman who was an inmate at the Dauphin County Prison.

A county spokesperson said Monique Mason died early Tuesday morning after she was found unresponsive on Saturday.

Mason was behind bars on charges including aggravated assault and possession of a firearm, county officials said.

An autopsy is scheduled for later this week.
