HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Closing arguments are scheduled Thursday at the trial for a Harrisburg man accused of killing his estranged wife, a middle school English teacher and mother of three.

Prosecutors on Wednesday wrapped up their case after playing an audio recording of a police interview with 41-year-old Donnell Price, in which he admitted that he stabbed 33-year-old Tarina Price inside her South Sycamore Street home and then fatally shot her after she fought him off and fled the house on December 14, 2011.

"It was very, very difficult," said Angela Parker-Quarles, Tarina's godmother, of the audiotape played in the courtroom. "I think the most difficult was the tone in his voice. No sadness, no sorrow, no remorse at all."

The prosecution also called a detective who testified that Donnell Price was dressed in black when he committed the killing and had the home's security system deactivated.

Prosecutors argue that Donnell Price planned the killing in the mistaken belief that his estranged wife was having an affair.

First Assistant Public Defender Ari Weitzman insists his client acted in a spontaneous act of passion. He rested the defense case without calling any witnesses.

The case will go to a jury following closing arguments. Donnell Price faces life in prison with no chance of parole if convicted.
