Mild, but clouds return Monday

What a weekend for early March! Mark down Saturday & Sunday as mild and pleasant late winter days. Highs reached into the lower 60s in many locations, with lots of sun. But with a storm system approaching for the middle of the week, and the winds settling into a southeasterly flow, that means clouds will be returning to the region. Expect some clouds to move in overnight, and even more as Monday progresses. Temperatures will still be mild, but there will be wide ranges in afternoon highs, depending on who sees the most cloud cover. All in all, expect temperatures to climb into the upper 50s Monday afternoon.

The frontal system that will bring a period of rain arrives after midnight Monday, and into early Tuesday morning. We can expect around half an inch of rain, as it wraps up by early Tuesday afternoon, with even some late day clearing. Conditions will turn breezy and cooler into the rest of the week as somewhat chilly temperatures return. Expect passing clouds and highs in the lower to mid 40s through the end of the week.
