Funeral Arrangements Made for Trooper Killed in Dinwiddie Co.

Richmond, VA – State Police have released the funeral arrangements for the state trooper who was killed off I-85 Thursday afternoon.

Master Trooper J.A. Walker, 63, died following a shooting incident near the 45 mile marker in Dinwiddie County, according to officials.

Walker was a Lawrenceville native and a veteran trooper who served the Commonwealth for 35 years.

His wake will be Monday, March 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.:

Good Shepherd Baptist Church

Petersburg, VA 23805

The funeral service will be at the same church on Tuesday, March 12 at 11 a.m. The funeral service will be open to the public, but the burial will be for family only.
