BROGUE, Pa. (WHTM) -
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an apparent murder/suicide out of York County.
Authorities say 43-year-old Steven Himes shot and killed his wife following a domestic dispute.
Himes contacted police at around 11 p.m. on Saturday and told officers he had just shot and killed his wife, 39-year-old Amanda Himes. Police say he then went to the basement and shot himself while on the line with dispatchers.
Troopers and York area officers arrived at the home in the 2000 block of Delta Road in Chanceford Township shortly after. They found Amanda Himes deceased in a first-floor bedroom. Authorities say she was shot multiple times.
Steven Himes was found dead in the basement from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
This is an ongoing investigation.
