Police have identified a woman who was fatally shot in Lancaster early Saturday.
Shadae Taylor-Brooks, 21, was found dead by officers who responded to the shooting at an apartment building in the 1100 block of Wabank Road shortly before 4:40 a.m., according to city police.
A 35-year-old man was sent to a local hospital where he underwent surgery and was listed in serious but stable condition, police said. His name has not been released.
Police said Taylor-Brooks and the unidentified man suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and were residents of the apartment where the shooting took place.
Detectives were interviewing witnesses and following up on leads to determine what took place. At this point, it is not believed that there is a danger to the community and there are no indications the shooting was a random attack, police said.
