LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) -
Beginning the last week of March and continuing through April, dog wardens will conduct license checks at Lebanon County homes.
By law, all dogs three months or older must be licensed by Jan. 1 of each year. The fee is $6.45 for each spayed/neutered dog and $8.45 for other dogs.
Older adults and persons with disabilities may purchase a license for $4.45 for spayed/neutered dogs and $6.45 for others.
All dogs and non-feral cats three months of age and older must also be vaccinated against rabies. Booster shots are needed to maintain immunity.
There's a maximum fine of $300 associated with each violation.
Licenses may be purchased through the Lebanon County Treasurer, Sallie Neuin, by calling 717-228-4420. Lebanon County residents can also purchase licenses at the following locations:
