Campbell Co., VA - The Campbell County Commonwealth's Attorney has announced he's seeking the death penalty against a Lynchburg man accused of murdering his live-in girlfriend.
26-year-old Anthony Witt is charged with the capital murder and robbery of Barbara Martin back in July. Investigators say he stabbed the 53-year-old inside her Concord home and beat her head in with a claw hammer, before racking up more than $2,000 on her credit card.
Witt is scheduled to have a status hearing in June.
