NEWPORT, Pa. (WHTM) -
State police have identified two drivers who died in a wrong-way crash early Tuesday on Route 22/322 in Perry County.
Jason Madden, 31, of Liverpool, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when he crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Keith Kerlin, of Mifflin, according to Trooper Robert Hicks.
Madden's car went into the
median, rolled onto the roof and caught fire, police said. Kerlin was ejected from his vehicle. Both died at the scene.
The crash occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Township, about two miles west of Route 34.
