Police: woman driving pharmaceutical van abducted

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

York City police are working to crack an unusual crime.

Thursday morning at 9, a pharmaceutical delivery van pulled into the CVS on South Richland Avenue. Police say two armed men approached the female driver, handcuffed her and put a hood over her head. They put her in the back of her van and took off down I-83 south.

When they reached the Leader Heights exit, police say they pulled over, loaded the drugs into a grey pickup truck and continued down the Interstate, leaving the woman behind in the van. She was able to get out and flag down help.
