David Lassiter a member of Harrisburg's Astronomical Society captured the Comet Pan-STARRS flying above Marysville on Thursday night.

According to Space.com, "the comet Comet Pan-STARRS is currently visible to stargazers in the Northern Hemisphere just after sunset." To see it, look low on the western horizon just after sunset.

Lassiter said it will be difficult to see the comet Friday night because of the cloudy sky.

These photos were taken near the Susquehanna River at Fort Hunter Park from the group's Naylor Observatory in Lewisberry, Pa. The camera was piggybacked on a telescope with tracking for precise clarity and detail.
