A tractor trailer overturned at the Derry Street bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Swatara Township police arrived at the scene of a tractor trailer laying on its side in the northbound lanes of I-83 at the Derry Street bridge.
Crews were called to the scene around 1:35 p.m. The northbound lanes were completely blocked, and southbound lanes were slow-moving due to rubbernecking.
Following an investigation, authorities determined that the tractor trailer had been traveling westbound on 322, took the ramp to travel northbound on Eisenhower Boulevard, and tipped onto its side at the bottom of the ramp.
When the tractor trailer tipped over, a northbound pickup truck collided with it.
The driver of the tractor trailer had to be extricated, and he was taken to Hershey Medical Center. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
