McQueary expected in court Monday

Posted: Updated:

Former Penn State assistant football coach Mike McQueary is expected in court Monday in Centre County.

The University wants a judge to throw out his whistleblower lawsuit.

McQueary is suing the school for $4 million. He said Penn State unfairly punished him while it continued to pay the salaries and legal fees for Gary Schultz and Tim Curley. They are awaiting their perjury trial in the child sex abuse scandal.

McQueary was a key witness in the prosecution of Jerry Sandusky. After the scandal broke, Penn State put him on administrative leave and later his contract was not renewed.

Abc27 News will be in the courtroom today and will have the very latest both on-air and online.
