Tractor Trailer Overturns in Nelson Co., Remains Off Route 29

Posted:

Nelson Co., VA - Officials say crews won't remove an overturned tractor trailer from the side of Route 29 in Nelson County until later Monday night.

At about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, state police say a tractor trailer ran off the side of Route 29 near Wilson Hill Road, jackknifed and later overturned.

Officials say the driver was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries.

The tractor trailer is still on the side of the road.

According to VDOT, the truck will not be removed until midnight.  At that time, all northbound lanes will be shutdown to remove the truck.

At this time, just the right northbound lane is closed.
