PEACH BOTTOM, Pa. (WHTM) -
Route 272 in Lancaster County could be closed all day due to a fuel spill in Peach Bottom Township this morning, state police said.
The road is closed between Soapstone Road and State Route 222 after a tanker truck carrying commercial grade diesel fuel hit an embankment and flipped on its side at 6:42 this morning. Approximately half of the truck's load spilled.
State Police said preliminary information suggests the crash may have been caused by a medical condition suffered by the driver.
The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to Lancaster General Hospital.
Two other cars were involved in the crash. Neither driver was injured.
