Millersville students raise money for family of lacrosse coach
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) -
The Millersville University's lacrosse team is raising money to support a scholarship fund for the son of a lacrosse coach killed in a bus accident in Carlisle Saturday.
Half a day after launching the fundraiser, the team had sold 200 wristbands.
The Seton Hill University lacrosse team had been traveling to Millersville University in Lancaster County for a Saturday afternoon match when their bus went off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and struck a tree. Lacrosse Coach Kristie Quigley and her unborn child died at the hospital a short time later. The 61-year-old driver Anthony Guaetta of Johnstown died at the scene of the accident.

started the fundraiser for Quigley's son Gavin.
"To perpetuate the memory of the late Seton Hill women's lacrosse coach Kristie Quigley and assist in her young son Gavin's scholarship fund, the Millersville women's lacrosse team is selling crimson and gold wristbands embroidered with the slogan "onelaxfamily" and initials 'KQ' for $8," according to the university's Facebook page.
The Millversville women's lacrosse team and, all other teams
in the conference, will wear the wristbands for the remainder of the season.
