Wednesday marks 10 years since the United States led the invasion of Iraq.
The anniversary has brought some tears for one midstate woman. Donna Cutchall of York County lost her husband, Christopher, on September 29, 2003, just 10 days after he went to Iraq to fight. An IED exploded under the vehicle he was riding in.
Donna said she thinks of other families who have gone through similar losses because they are all family to her.
As far as the 10th anniversary of the start of the war, she said she had a subconscious feeling it was coming.
"I've been really sad the last few days," she said. "I didn't really know why until I saw the news today and saw on Facebook and I put things together and that was why I was so sad."
Cutchall said she ended up meeting President George W. Bush a few years after her husband died. She said she told him that if Christopher was there, he would say he would still do it all over again.
