Life Lion called to accident, westbound Wertzville Road reopened

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

The westbound lanes of Wertzville Road have reopened after a car crashed into a building in Hampden Township tonight.

The driver of a blue Hyundai drove through a red light while exiting Interstate 81 south at Wertzville Road around 6:15 on Thursday, according to police.

Investigators say when the car entered the intersection, it struck two other cars, veered off the road, and crashed into the back of a garage on Woodland Drive.

The driver of the Hyundai was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Hampden Township police are still investigating the crash.
