HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
A 73-year-old man died at a hospital after he was run over Friday morning while crossing North Cameron Street in front of the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center, according to Harrisburg police.
Stanley Dutterer, of Hanover, was walking near the main entrance to the Farm Show Complex when he stumbled onto the roadway from the medial strip and fell in front of a car driven by a 21-year-old Hummelstown woman, police said.
He was taken to Harrisburg Hospital where he died of his injuries.
Police said Dutterer was not in a pedestrian crosswalk when the incident occurred just after 8 a.m.
Dutterer's vehicle was found parked in a lot on the east side of North Cameron Street opposite the Farm Show Complex entrance.
Police said he had officiating equipment in his carry bag and was apparently going to the Farm Show building to take part in a junior wrestling tournament that was taking place there.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Harrisburg police at 717-255-3044 or 717-255-3123.
