Man, 21, shot in leg during altercation

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are investigating a shooting incident in Lancaster that injured a 21-year-old man.

At around 4 a.m. on Sunday, Lancaster police responded to the 200 block of West King Street for reports of shots fired.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a man, 21, who had been shot once in the leg.

The victim was taken to local hospital and is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Detectives conducted interviews and investigated the scene.

Authorities determined that the victim had been involved in an altercation with three other people. One of them fired an unknown caliber weapon, striking the victim in the leg.

This incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information may contact the Lancaster City Bureau of Police.
