Harrisburg brewery hosts fundraiser for wounded soldier

Posted: Updated:

Harrisburg's Appalachian Brewing Company hosted a "Kegs and Legs" event on Sunday to benefit a local soldier.

Sergeant Robert Easley Jr. is a 2004 graduate of Cumberland Valley. Last year he lost his legs in Afghanistan.

Attendees at Appalachian Brewing Company's event raised funds to help him adjust to life back home.

But despite his injuries, Easley maintains an upbeat and positive attitude.

"Things are obviously different for me now, but its certainly not over," he told abc27. "I have many, many years, and I'm gonna do everything I wanna do. I'm not gonna let this stop me."

Sunday's event also featured a silent auction, food and even a special brew: Wounded Warrior Wheat.
