Winter weather causes crash with injuries in Lancaster Co.

Wintry slush caused an accident with injuries on Lancaster Pike near Mount Airy Road.

Around 9 a.m. on Monday, police responded to an incident involving a Ford truck and a Ford SUV on Route 272/Lancaster Pike.

According to authorities, the truck was traveling southbound and lost control as it headed downhill on a right-hand curve.

The truck slid into the opposite lanes and struck an SUV heading northbound.

The truck driver, 19, received minor injury. He was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the SUV, 73, and his passenger, 67, were both moderately injured.

There is no word on their conditions at this time.
