Auditor General will be cutting costs

The Auditor General's office announced it will no longer sponsor the child care facility located in the Finance Building.

Officials says the costs are minimal but they are watching every penny and will look to trim costs across the board.

The Department has a goal of saving more than 3 million sheets of paper each year, and they will start printing on both sides so no sheet is wasted.

The department will look to reduce its fleet by 44 vehicles and will start to lower travel expenses.

Auditor General Eugene DePasquale says his office is the watchdog of the taxpayer's money, and he wants his agency to operate as efficiently as possible.
