A driver led police on a chase Tuesday night on Route 222 in Lancaster County.
Ephrata police said they were attempting to locate a person with mental health issues in the 100 block of Hurst Drive when the incident evolved into a vehicle pursuit on Route 272 southbound and continued onto Route 222 southbound.
On Route 222, the vehicle struck an Ephrata police vehicle and continued southbound before crossing the median and the opposing lane before stopping, police said.
The driver was taken into custody just before to the Stone Quarry Road overpass. Police did not release the driver's name.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police said their investigation continues.
