Two firefighters were injured early Tuesday morning while fighting a blaze in Shippensburg.
The fire broke out around 6:15 a.m. at a home on the 200 block of Roxbury Road.
We're told both firefighters were taken to the hospital. One of them suffered burns and the other didn't feel well, officials said. Both are expected to be okay.
Two residents of the home were able to make it out safely, although one family dog perished in the fire.
Officials said the man and woman woke up to the smell of smoke. They were renting the home and lost everything, but have renters' insurance.
There's no word what caused the fire.
The home is destroyed.
The American Red Cross said it was assisting the victims with food and clothing.
