HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Pennsylvania State Police said two people were killed and 160 were injured in the 455 crashes investigated by troopers during the three-day Easter holiday from Friday through Sunday.

State police said they issued 5,563 speeding citations, charged 321 people with driving under the influence, cited 550 individuals for not wearing seat belts, and ticketed 63 motorists for not securing children in safety seats.

During the 2012 Easter holiday, three people were killed and 196 others were injured in 470 crashes investigated by troopers.

The statistics cover only those crashes investigated by the state police and do not include incidents to which other law-enforcement agencies responded.
