2 sent to hospital following Carlisle fire

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

Two people were hospitalized for smoke inhalation following an early morning fire in Carlisle.

The fire broke out around 3:45 a.m. at a duplex on the first block of West Willow Street. Fire crews had extinguished the flames by 5 a.m.

Four people were displaced as a result of the fire. The two people who were taken to the hospital are expected to be okay.

Fire officials said the blaze started at the rear of the duplex and spread up to the attic and the neighboring home.

There's no word what caused the fire.
