CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

Carlisle police said they arrested a borough woman for public drunkenness after she passed out in a grocery store Tuesday.

Officers were called to the store at 255 Spring Garden Street shortly after noon for a report of two women passed out when they found 32-year-old Nicole D. Brown under the influence to a degree that she was a danger to herself, police said in a news release.

Officers who searched Brown during her arrest also found several loose pills in her coat pocket, police said.

She was transported to a hospital for monitoring, and a summons for public drunkenness and possession of a controlled substance has been filed, police said.
