Pa. Revenue Dept. extends hours for late tax filers

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

The state Department of Revenue announced it has extended hours at its Taxpayer Service and Information Center to help Pennsylvanians in need of late-season tax help.

The center will be open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Monday, April 15, and will also operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 13. The center is closed on Sundays.

Assistance is available through the Online Customer Service Center at www.revenue.state.pa.us or by calling 717-787-8201.

The center's staff can answer questions about electronic tax filing options, including the department's two free options: TeleFile (by phone) and padirectfile, available through www.revenue.state.pa.us.

Taxpayers have until midnight, Monday, April 15, to file income tax returns.
