Train derails in Lancaster, no reports of injuries

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Officials in Lancaster County are investigating the cause of a train derailment on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the Amtrak Mainline near North Prince Street and Harrisburg Pike around noon on April 14.

A portion of a freight train had derailed, blocking Harrisburg Pike. The road was closed for about an hour.

There are no reports of any injuries, and Lancaster Police say the train was not carrying any hazardous materials.

There is no word on what caused the train to come off the tracks.
