Emigsville home damaged by fire

Posted: Updated:

Police are investigating a fire that damaged an Emigsville home early Tuesday.

The rear of the home in the 2700 block of Clearbrook Boulevard was fully involved with fire when officers and firefighters responded shortly before 6:30 a.m.

A sunroom and the rear of the home sustained heavy damage and the rest of the home had significant damage from flames and smoke, according to York Area United Fire & Rescue Fire Chief Robert McCoy, who said the fire apparently started on a back porch.

Two residents escaped the fire and were not injured. McCoy said they were being assisted by the American Red Cross.
