Police: man found unresponsive in Waynesboro dies at hospital

WAYNESBORO, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are investigating the death of a man found near a parking lot in Waynesboro.

On Tuesday, April 9, at around 7 p.m. Waynesboro police officers responded to a report of an unresponsive man found near a parking lot in the 300 block of East Main Street.

Authorities identified the man as Robert Branson of the 200 block of Tract Road in Fairfield was found and transported to the Waynesboro Hospital for initial treatment.

Branson was then transferred to Hershey Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on Saturday, April 13.

The Waynesboro Police Department and the Franklin County Coroner's Office are conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding Branson's death.
