Carlisle Police looking for missing man, 65

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police area asking for the public's help to find a 65-year-old man who has not been seen since Monday.

Elmer Mountz was reported missing by family members yesterday around 7 p.m. They last heard from him on Monday, when he said he was going fishing on the Conodoguinet Creek in Letort Park or behind the Cumberland County Prison.

According to Carlisle Police Sergeant Stephen Latshaw, the fire and police departments were out looking for Mountz Friday afternoon near the area where he said he was going fishing. 

Mountz is described as being approximately 5'10" and 170 pounds. His family has not reported any mental or physical illnesses. 

Latshaw said police have no reason to believe that he is in danger but said that Mountz's family is worried for his well being.
