Blacksburg - The Hokies wrapped up spring football drills Saturday afternoon with their annual Maroon and White Game at Lane Stadium.

Logan Thomas and the Hokies took the field for the first spring game under new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler.  Early first quarter, Thomas hits Joshua Stanford on the slant but he runs out of gas before the end zone, the pass is good for 57 yards, he had 86 for the game.

Later on the drive, fourth and goal, Thomas drops back but he's  picked off by Der'Woun Green who avoids a tackle by Thomas and he is G.O.N.E, 98 yards to the house.  Next Orange possession, Thomas looking to his left, but the redshirt senior is picked off again, this time by Donovan Riley.  It's de ja vu as Riley scores from 53 yards out, Thomas threw three interceptions, hitting 16 of 29 passes for 214 yards.

Third quarter, backup quarterback Mark Leal scrambles left and finds Ryan Malleck for the TD.  Tech's running game struggled, 41 rushes for a net gain of just 23 yards.
