DUNCANNON, Pa. (WHTM) -

An early morning fire destroyed a small church in Perry County Wednesday.

The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at Logania Church of God on Loshes Run Road in Wheatfield Township.

At one point witnesses said the entire structure was fully engulfed in flames.  By 4:30 a.m. firefighters had extinguished the flames and were working on putting out hot spots.

The roof and steeple of the church are now gone.  Members said the church is 120-years-old.  Many said they were devastated and vowed to rebuild.

There's no word on a cause of the fire.
