LEMOYNE, Pa. (WHTM) -

A man suspected of stealing prescription drugs from pharmacies on the East and West shores has been charged in a second robbery.

West Shore Regional police on Wednesday charged 25-year-old Vernon S. Ness with a robbery Monday at the CVS Pharmacy at the West Shore Plaza in Lemoyne.

Ness allegedly approached the pharmacy counter and showed employees a note demanding prescription drugs, according to police.

The note stated, "give me all your oxy and no one will get hurt," according to the criminal complaint.

Police said in the complaint that the pharmacist complied with the demand and handed over several bottles of prescription pills.

Ness was arrested Tuesday by Hampden Township police at the CVS Pharmacy at the intersection of Carlisle Pike and Sporting Hill Road, where he is accused of committing a similar crime.

According to the complaint, he admitted to the Lemoyne robbery during a police interview.

Ness is suspected of a third robbery Sunday at the Rite Aid at 1941 Derry Street in Harrisburg, but he had not yet been charged in that case.

Ness, formerly of Manchester, was being held in the Cumberland County Prison on $150,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been set for May 8.
