There's something in the air in Cumberland County, and it's apparently not good for you. That is according to a new report by the American Lung Association.
The reports ranks Cumberland County the second-worst county in the state for air quality. It said there are tiny chemicals in the air, like soot and toxins, that could make you sick.
"Those particles find their way into the lungs," said Kevin Stewart of the American Lung Association.
The Harrisburg/Lebanon/Carlisle region is ranked the 19th worst in the country.
abc27 is teaming up with our partners at The Sentinel to bring you more on this problem including the core cause and what's being done about it.
We will begin airing special reports Thursday on abc27. Reports in The Sentinel begin Friday and continue through the weekend.
