$11K in heroin seized in Hanover area drug bust

HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A York County man was jailed on drug charges after police raided a Penn Township home Thursday evening.

Desmon D. Anderson, 24, was arrested following the search of 837 West Alvin Street, where Penn Township police, the York County Drug Task Force, and Pennsylvania State Police seized approximately 37 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of $11,700, township police said in a news release Friday.

Electronic scales, packaging material, more than $20,00 in cash, and a handgun were also seized from the home.

Anderson was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and placed in the York County Prison on $100,000 bail.
