HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are searching for 17-year-old Jovan Vasquez-Cassell in connection with Saturday's homicide in Harrisburg.

Following an investigation, a team of detectives executed a search warrant at Vasquez-Cassell's home in Harrisburg on Monday afternoon, but they were unable to find him.

Police say Vasquez-Cassell has family in Harrisburg and York, and officials are checking leads to locate him. Authorities alerted his family and asked them to convince Vasquez-Cassell to surrender to police.

Vasquez-Cassell is charged with criminal homicide for the shooting death of 27-year-old Terrell Vaughan.

Around 11 p.m. on Saturday officers were called to the 1400 block of Market Street for a shooting. Officials say that Vaughan got into an argument with several people on Market Street and was shot several times during what police are calling a "violent fight."

Vaughan was taken to Hershey Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the torso and head where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information may contact police at 717-255-3170 or 717-255-6586.
