HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Authorities say the 17-year-old suspect in this weekend's homicide in Harrisburg has surrendered to police.

Jovan Vasquez-Cassell was accompanied by his family and friends on Wednesday afternoon when he met with officers.

Vasquez-Cassell is charged with criminal homicide for the shooting death of 27-year-old Terrell Vaughan.

Around 11 p.m. on Saturday officers were called to the 1400 block of Market Street for a shooting. Officials say that Vaughan got into an argument with several people on Market Street and was shot several times during what police are calling a "violent fight."

Vaughan was taken to Hershey Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the torso and head where he was pronounced dead.
