A fallen York County fire chief will be remembered with a funeral and procession Friday.
Loganville Fire Chief Rodney Miller was struck and killed while directing traffic on Interstate 83 on Saturday. Matthew Diehl, 32, has been charged with homicide by vehicle and DUI.
Officials are warning that the procession for Miller's funeral, which will include a large number of fire vehicles and equipment, could close roads for a period of time Friday morning.
The funeral was scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Fellowship Church at 1405 Seven Valleys Road in York. The viewing was scheduled for 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the same location.
Southwestern Regional police urged motorists to use alternative routes when possible and to use extra caution if they must travel through the area.
