Rep. Goodlatte in Lynchburg to Raise Money for Interfaith Outreach

Posted:

Lynchburg, VA - Congressman Bob Goodlatte was in the Hill City Thursday to help raise money for Interfaith Outreach.

The group held a luncheon downtown with a few familiar faces: Councilwoman and former Mayor Joan Foster, Councilman Ceasor Johnson, and Del. Scott Garrett were all in attendance as well.

Goodlatte says it's so important for the community to back this organization because it does so much for the community.

"They help to really fill in some gaps and work with people. It is not a hand out but a hand up. They help them meet some of their obligations at the end of the week or the end of the month and at the same time make sure they are doing the things they need to do to get their life back on track," said Bob Goodlatte, Republican representative for the 6th District.

Interfaith Outreach's mission is to improve the quality of life for our neighbors in need by providing programs that offer education, guidance, and support.
