Lexington, VA - It was 150 years ago Thursday that Confederate General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson was wounded in a friendly fire incident that ultimately led to his death 8 days later.
To commemorate the event, the VMI Museum has opened a new exhibit, with rarely seen Jackson relics, called "14 Days in May".
The relics are in addition to Jackson's horse and frock coat that are already on display.
Jackson was accidentally shot in the arm by troops from North Carolina as he and his officers returned from a reconnaissance mission during the Battle of Chancellorsville.
