Police said they charged a Lancaster County man with terroristic threats after he threatened to kill his 73-year-old grandmother for her insurance money.
East Lampeter Township police said the incident occurred Thursday evening at a home in the 800 block of Gail Place, where 26-year-old Jonathan M. Beck lives with his grandmother.
His grandmother had confronted Beck about stealing her money to buy drugs when he threatened to slit her throat and slash her face, police said.
Beck fled the home before officers arrived but was later found back at the residence. He was then taken into custody on an active bench warrant through the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, police said.
He was being held in the Lancaster County Prison on $5,000 bail.
