Police are investigating a Saturday morning crash that left one dead in York County.
Just after 7 a.m. on Saturday, authorities received reports of a vehicle crashing into houses along the 6500 block of Lincoln Highway West near Rambler Road in Jackson Township.
Authorities say 42-year-old Matthew Benkovic of Gardners, Pennsylvania died after his 2004 Freightliner delivery van traveled off the roadway and collided with the front porch of a home at the intersection of Jackson Square Road.
The truck then continued through the yard of that home and struck another residence on Lincoln Highway West.
The coroner pronounced Benkovic dead at the scene.
Lincoln Highway was closed for a time following the crash, but it was reopened around noon on Saturday.
There is no word on what may have caused the crash. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at Lehigh Medical Center.
The investigation into the crash continues. Anyone with information may contact police at 717-292-3647.
