Police locate suspects in attempted child luring incident

DILLSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police have located and charged two juvenile male suspects in connection with an attempted child luring incident in Dillsburg. 

Authorities in Carroll Township say the two suspects approached five young girls, all under the age of 11, in the 400 block of Woodland Drive on Friday afternoon as the girls were walking home from the bus stop.

The suspects offered the girls candy and then asked them to get into their vehicle. The children ran home and told their parents, who in turn alerted police.

An off-duty Carroll Township police officer saw the suspects in a tan vehicle and thought they were acting suspiciously. The officer was able to give a description of the vehicle and the two suspects.

The vehicle and suspects were later seen and stopped on Route 15 by another Carroll Township police officer.

The teens told police that they were trying to scare the girls but police say they have been charged with several thing, including child luring.  

 

At this time the case is still under investigation.
