HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

U.S. Marshals have arrested a Harrisburg man wanted for attempted homicide and related charges in an assault where he allegedly tried to run over the victim with his pickup truck.

Jason Strite, 38, was taken into custody Monday in the 3600 block of Walnut Street in Harrisburg.

In addition to attempted homicide, Strite is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, theft, and criminal mischief.

The charges stem from an April 21 incident in Lower Swatara Township, in which he also struck the victim repeatedly and caused serious internal injuries, according to authorities.

Strite was also wanted by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole and the Dauphin County Adult Probation Office for separate parole/probation violation warrants.

He is being held at the Dauphin County Prison.
